Advertising Opportunity

We are thrilled to offer you this exciting advertising opportunity! Our Street Pole Banner Program allows you to reach thousands of potential customers 24/7.

New this year, advertise on Addison Avenue and attract the attention of enthusiastic Cubs fans. Introduce yourself to Lakeview or remind people that you are here. Either way, you are making an investment in your business, and in your neighborhood.

The best part? Get it and forget it! While your banner stays in the minds of your customers, you can put it out of yours. We'll take care of proofing, installation, all maintenance, repairs, and permitting fees. We guarantee banners for one year.

Women's Self Defense Seminar at TGMA July 26-27

There's a difference between Martial Arts and Self-Defense! A trained martial artist certainly has a few more tools in his or her arsenal to deal with an attack, but in a modern context, effectively dealing with violence involves a lot more than knowing how to throw a punch.

We've put together a comprehensive program that prepares students to deal with the psychological and legal aspects of self-defense, as well as the physical.  This 11 hour intensive workshop will cover physical self-defense techniques, mental preparedness and awareness, emotional preparedness, legal issues relating to self-defense in the United States, and a host of other topics.

As the title suggests, this event is for female participants only.  We don't typically segregate our events by sex or gender, but research suggests that doing so yields much better results for the participants.  However, if we see a demand for men's self-defense workshops, we may add those as well, so if you're interested in seeing that sort of a seminar, please speak up.

$250 per person for non-members, $200 for members at TGMA, and 10% off for Lakeview Chamber of Commerce Members and their employees.
10% of all proceeds from the event will be donated to Between Friends Chicago, an organization dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence.
